Yet another vulnerability in Android Apps has been identified and is definitely already being exploited in the wild. 36 Apps so far in the Playstore have been detected as using this exploit. This Strandhogg exploitation is harvesting Android user’s permissions to access Apps and then impersonating their real Apps.
This Stranghogg exploit, once it gains this near root level access to your device, can make calls from your phone, access all your contacts and basically assume your digital identity. The scariest part of this compromise is that the attacker can also access your saved photos and gain live use your camera which could permanently haunt the victim and damage their reputation once posted to the web.
